PBS Nominate A Hero
Union Bank, a corporate sponsor of GSDBA, is again partnering with local public broadcasting station KPBS to honor individuals who have shown excellence in the fields of Art, Business, Community Activism, Education, or Social Services. Recipients of these Local Hero Awards will also be honored at an award ceremony in conjunction with the celebration. Additionally, their profiles will be featured on 60-second TV spots airing on KPBS and online during LGBT Pride Month.
The deadline to Nominate a Local Hero for LGBT Pride Month is Sunday, March 3. Please follow the action steps described below.
ACTION STEPS
1. Nominate those who have made a meaningful contribution in the LGBT community.
2. Nominations MUST go directly to the KPBS station, the DEADLINE to receive nominations is Sunday, March 3. ONLINE AT: http://www.kpbs.org/cultural-diversity-project/ and click the “Nominate a Hero Now” button.
